Dec 2010 Updates to TourML

Charlie Moad, Director of IMA Lab, sends notice of recent updates to the TourML spec as a result of the 2010 US & UK Mobile Content Standards Summits:
We have updated the TourML specification based on the discussions from museum professionals and commercial vendors held at the Tate Handheld and Museum Computer Network conferences. The WIKI page on TourML has been updated with explanatory text and auto-generated documentation is now being hosted.

We believe TourML has been greatly enhanced based on these conversations. In the early TourML spec, everything revolved around the concept of Stops. Some problems were identified with this approach. The reusability of media across stops was one such example. Tours have now been broken down into 3 primary components: Assets, Stops, and Connections.
