<description>To my knowledge, no such list exists. I&#039;ll sift through my research and begin assembling a funding resource list. The following IMLS grants were recommended by @triotriotrio via twitter:

http://www.imls.gov/applicants/name.shtm

National Leadership Grants (General grant advocating museum practice advancement)
Deadline: February 2010

Museums for America
Deadline: November 2010

21st Century Museum Professionals (Particularly interesting in terms of fostering staff technology skills – perhaps, collaborations with other institutions?)
Deadline: March 15, 2010

Museum Assessment Program (Long-range planning, evaluation and assessment – might be a nice first step for IMAR)
Deadline: February 16, 2010</description>

		<description>Hi Lindsey &amp; Emily,
Do you think there&#039;s enough info out there to start to build a list of funding sources for mobile projects? Or does such a thing already exist?

		<description>Hi Emily,

I notice your in the US but for any UK museums out there. Futurelab - http://bit.ly/gNYL - have funding up to £25k relating to mobile gaming and learning.

They are looking for ideas about new ways of learning with &#039;meaningful&#039;, mobile or locative games:

&#039;Meaningful games&#039; - games that enable learners to engage with important issues such as learning, democracy, environment and sustainability etc.

Mobile or locative games - games that are developed for use while learners are on the move or interacting with the places, objects or people around them.

<description>As we discuss ways in which to implement mobile interpretive strategies into our respective institutions, I must ask: Are we aware of any funding sources aimed at mobile in particular? It&#039;s my speculation that several grant-related options are available to support online, digital interpretation or education in the broad sense, but I&#039;m more curious about funding sources that specify a platform (beyond web). Thoughts? Comments?

Any threads of advice or recommendations are gladly appreciated.

Best,
Emily Black

<description>I think it&#039;s a fair comment that most of the info currently available on operations and actually executing a mobile project plan are structured as tips rather than step-by-step guides. To some extent this is because no &#039;one size fits all&#039; so every plan responds quite specifically to the individual museum, team, and resources. However, it&#039;s worth checking out these resources if you haven&#039;t already:
