My Tours Overview
My Tours is the easy way to turn your city walks, museum tours and audio guides into a mobile application. Our easy to use tour builder gets you up and running in minutes, not days and is easy to load content from your existing cellphone, PDF or web based tours.
My Tours is perfect for local councils and tourist information centers wanting to publish tours online, professional tour producers wanting to expand their market, museums and galleries wanting to publish their audio guides on the iPhone or iPod Touch, local art, history and literary societies and other special interest groups.
The My Tours platform consists of a web based tour builder and a customised mobile application. The custom mobile application is fully branded with your logo, loading images and tours. My Tours handles all of the App Store submission process and works with our clients to make sure that the both the content and the application works as expected.
Web Based Tour Builder
The My Tours tour builder is fully web based. There is no need to download and install any software on your machines. Our tour builder allows you to easily add audio, text and images to each ‘stop’ on the tour. Each stop can optionally be added to a map – Either a street map or an uploaded floor plan.
Getting started with the tour builder is completely free. You can trial the software without any limitations by signing up here.
Mobile Application
With My Tours we create an individual application for each client which means you get your own mobile application with your own branding and tours but without the development costs of a typical mobile app. All content is synced to the device so visitors do not incur any roaming fees while taking the tour. You also have full control over how you want to charge for your application. Either give it away for free or charge your end users.
We support both the iOS and Windows Phone 7 platforms with Android support coming this year. Each client is customised for the unique characteristics of the device so users get the best experience possible.
We current have over 35 applications released on the App Store and several more on the way. A selection of our applications can be found on our website.
Pricing
Pricing for My Tours is simple.
Local & Specialty Plan
- A one-off $750 setup fee
- A $195/year subscription ($395 for 3 years)
Standard Plan
- A one-off $1495 setup fee
- A $95/month subscription ($995 for 1 year, $2495 for 3 years)
This includes all updates to both our tour builder software and the mobile application. You can get started straight away for free and you only pay once we submit your application to the App Store.
InApp Purchasing
We now support InApp purchasing to give you full control over how you sell your tours. Give some content away for free and sell premium content or sell the initial app with the core content and sell additional content for a small fee. The choice is yours.
