Nancy,
The content is hosted in our servers. Authors retain copyright ownership if they have applied that sort of license to their content (authors can select among different license types including several creative commons flavors).
This work the same way as in Flickr (we took this idea from them).
Regarding the stability/persistence of the content, Woices was created to stay :-) so I'd like to say that the content will always be there. In any case, authors can always download their content as mp3 files and keep a local backup, so it will never be lost.

In fact, we have found that some people use woices as an alternative distribution channel (not exclusive). They may offer audio guides by other means or channels but like to have them also on woices to reach as many people as possible.
Cheers,

Can you explain where the content is hosted? When/if hosted on woices' servers, does the author nonetheless retain copyright ownership? What do you guarantee in terms of how long you host content, and how stable/with what up time it will be available?
